Clean Process Technologies have developed a method for producing <2% (d) ash coal using froth flotation of ultra fine, highly liberated coal particles. This product is intended for combustion in diesel engines for producing electrical power at much higher efficiencies and lower CO2 emissions compared to current pulverised coal combustion methods.
